
The first TV commercials for the PS3 appeared in Japan last week and you can see a selection on the official PlayStation Japan website at the link below.
Unlike the simplistic Nintendo Wii TV commercials, the PS3 ads are clearly aimed at what Sony thinks must be its monied customers. After all, the PS3 does cost an arm and at least half a leg and it clearly isn’t an entertainment system.
If you can’t follow the Japanese, not to worry the thrust of the ads is all about remembering the PS3 launch date of 11 November. Hence, the MGS-addled gamers seeing four 1s all around, taunting them with the delectable thought of a console they’ll have to wait weeks to even sniff anyway.
