UK search guru Patrick Altoft just dropped us a line about the Blackberry Storm pre-order post we did the other day to add a little intriguing info cherry on top.
According to his Hitwise data, the pre-launch publicity seems to be working for the Storm and has taken it ahead of the iPhone to the top of the phone search query rankings.
He rightly points out that comparing a new (much-hyped) cellphone with a 16-month-old (much-hyped) cellphone is a bit of a case of apples and pears (‘scuse the fruit analogy), so it’ll be interesting to see if the BlackBerry hype machine can sustain these levels of interest long term.
