In its infinite wisdom, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry has launched a one-month “Check PC!” campaign to promote safe interaction with our electronic partners.
Perhaps a bit alarmingly, METI has a 1,000-member Pasocon (PC) Rescue Group that will go trudging around to companies and even private homes teaching people how to avoid phishing scams, worms and viruses (try buying a Mac?). Less daunting is a publicity campaign involving TV commercials and posters. If there are any beautiful people involved with METI’s efforts, we’ll be sure to try to capture images for you.
