Sun Denshi is about to release a smart little iPod remote-control unit intended for gracing those walnut interiors we all have in our European sports cars.
The RMIP-605 works with more or less all iPods except the shuffle and also hooks up with the company’s FM transmitters to get the music out to the car stereo. There’s a function that cuts the juice to the ‘pod when the car engine stops and from October it can all be yours for ¥3,980.
Yoshi’s take: Doesn’t the iPod have its own controls right there about an inch away from the new device?
