Digital Analogue Technology of Korea is now offering people south of the DMZ (and possibly north of it too, if there are any cars apart from Krazy Komrade Kim’s fleet of Benzes still working up there) the "booze-o-meter."
This device is able, we understand, to withstand the most awesome blasts of kimchi- and liquor-laden breath. It is intended to enable not-so-upright citizens to confirm within five seconds that it might be a good idea to hail a cab rather than to swervedrive that Ferrari home tonight.
The AL-5000 retails for 110,000KRW, which seems, bearing in mind a few lives saved or heavy fines avoided, a bargain at around $100.
