The Internet Renaissance robot, or ITR to his pals, is the latest in a long line of connected “fun” ’ bots that can get online, grab content and deliver it to its fleshy masters. Most recently, of course, we saw the now-defunct AIBO learn how to read RSS feeds.
ITR can do considerably more, including connecting to cellphones and “emoting” through its voice and, er, movements. However, the selling point (¥190,000 from September) of this little fella (as posited by the wonderfully named Speecys Corporation) will be the fact that it is set to become part of the family. ITR’s the one on the left, BTW.
