Filthy habits of the webcam generation #374: online video karaoke

If actual karaoke in the nasty ole world beyond your bedroom is a bit too scary, then how about doing it in front of a computer with any Tom, Dick or Taro looking in? Best of all, you can even do it in Japanese.

The insanely excitable action comes from Spanish website Red Karaoke, which has just set up a Japanese version to bring the creators of karaoke a taste of their own medicine.

According to the press release, we’re told there are 10,000 J-tunes covering genres from J-Pop to enka. Just mic up and sing along, it tells us. Exhibitionists of the very worst kind can record an upload live video of their doubtless thrilling performances.

Please make it stop.
