Holiday gift guide: book bonanza perfect for Japan fiends

Chin Music Press produces some of the most entertaining books around and does it with style aplenty, so when they have a Christmas sale you’d better get moving PDQ.

Big Cheese Bruce, bossman at CMP, is offering a collection of three of their superb and gorgeous hardcover books for just $40, which is a saving of, ooh, loads. OK, $31.50, which is a pretty penny.

The titles are the sparkly new novel “Last of the Red Hot Poppas,” the post-Katrina grab-bag “Do You Know What it Means to Miss New Orleans?,” and the Japan-themed short-story collection “Kuhaku.” The last one in particular is worth checking out if you’re a Japan buff and/or a perv.

Disclaimer: Yes, I am responsible for some of the filthier content in Kuhaku.

Double disclaimer: I won’t see a penny of your cash, so spend away — Bruce’s kids don’t want another lump of coal from the man in red this Christmas.
