I-O Data external drive breaks ¥10,000 barrier

I-O’s DVR-UN18E, which comes out at the end of August, will sell for less than ¥10,000. It’s no terrible slouch when it comes to writing, either.

Here’s what do you get for your cash: an 18x write speed for DVD±R, 6x for DVD-RWs, 8x for DVD±R DL/+RWs, 18x for ±Rs, 32x for CD-RWs and 48x for CD-Rs. All this in a 70 x 270 x 50mm, 1.4kg package.
