Japanese whalers don’t like it up ‘em

The progress of the anti-whaling activists from the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society as they risk everything in Antarctic waters to stop a Japanese whaling fleet has been well documented, but this piece says it all.

Sea Shepherd leader Captain Paul Watson, speaking of his intention to give a whaling ship a ‘steel enema’ by deliberately ramming it with his ship sums up what so many are feeling about the abhorrent situation where the world’s leaders stand by and ignore blatant Japanese lies about whaling:

“I have spent 30 years of my life trying to protect whales. I am getting sick and tired of politicians doing nothing.

“We would probably be stuck into them. They would have to go back to Tokyo with us sticking out of their rear end.”

Well said — and good luck to you.

Incidentally, the forces behind the whaling industry regularly take out full-page newspaper ads here denouncing whales for “eating too many fish and depleting the oceans.” How selfish of them — can’t they just go to McD’s like everyone else.
