Sony Japan has just announced a new dye-sub photo printer for home users that features both Memory Stick and SD card slots and weighs just 1.1kg.
The PictureStation DPP-FP55 can print a B6-size (175 x 60 x 137mm) 7-megapixel photo in 56 seconds at 300dpi and supports PictBridge. It also has a 2in color LCD for picture cropping, and all that other twiddling we do only in theory, before printing. It’ll be on sale in Japan for about ¥18,000 in late June.
