Robokobo: low-tech trinkets for Tokyo hipsters

060729_greenspace.jpg

GreenScape, a housewares and design shop in Tokyo’s trendy Nakameguro neighborhood, has come out with a line of nifty robot-inspired jewelry and accessories.

The Robokobo range includes Miramax (left) and Nyan C, which is aimed at cat lovers. There are 10 variations in all, and each tiny handmade bot is constructed of recycled electronics parts. They sell for ¥2,940-¥4,200 each.

Yoshi’s take: Not as useful as this, perhaps, but a lot funkier!
