Although currently invitation only, Gree is an intriguing little Japanese social-networking site that now specialises in video sharing from mobile devices. It previously was limited to still images.
The YouTube for cellphones accepts wireless uploads from handsets in 3GPP or MP4 formats, so that covers all the bases here in Japan. There’s a host of functionality on the site besides sharing, such as geotagging and creating video diaries and we’ll certainly let you know more when we get inside the velvet rope.
