Logitec’s NEXAS series sports a cooling method called the A.S.C. System, which is supposed to stop the disks from melting down.
A.S.C turns out to be a fan that spins when the HDDs are hot. So, are the HDDs hot or cool? Well, the LHD-HB or HBS (the latter having a security function) series ain’t really bad at all. For the HB models, the 250GB version costs ¥22,050 and the biggest-capacity 500GB model ¥53,445. Available now.

Yoshi’s take: Boy, we could use some of that A.S.C. System in Tokyo right around now!
