A taste of the rough and rugged US of A has come to Japan in the form of ATP’s tiny but waterproof Petito and the macho ToughDrive.
The 36.3 x 17.6 x 9.4mm 512MB-2GB Petito models, apart from not minding a dip in hotel pool, are also pretty fast when it comes to action, with read times of 30MB/sec and write times of 20MB/sec. The 1GB version costs around ¥17,000.
Meanwhile, the 75 x 21 x 11mm ToughDrive can take a 3-meter dive onto concrete. It’s available in the same capacities as the Petito, and the 1GB model costs about the same as well. Both series are on sale now.
