Would you take your iPhone abroad on Softbank’s new flat-rate roaming plan?

At up to ¥2,980 a day, it seems pretty expensive, but if you only use it for a few days during the trip it seems reasonable to me.

Business travelers excepted, do we really need to be always-on? Isn’t avoiding that part of being on vacation?

Plus, who in Japan gets much more than a five-day holiday anyway? grin

It’s a lot less hassle than the old-school method of unlocking, buying a local prepaid SIM and all the rest. Am I alone in that?
