Japan’s largest IT show, Ceatec, ended its five-day run Saturday with organizers reporting a slight dip in visitors at the 2006 event.
The exhibition attracted 194,267 visitors this year, down from 199,680 that attended in 2005, the Ceatec Japan Organizing Committee said in a statement. Visitors were below 2005 levels on three of the five days: Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.
Ceatec is dominated by Japan’s major electronics companies but in total there were 807 companies from 26 countries and regions at the event showing off the both finished consumer electronics products and electronics parts.
Ceatec Japan 2007 is scheduled to be held from October 2 to October 6.
