If phrases like “It’s a stale CD player, “The knob doesn’t turn” and “The outer scene is in sight” jog any memories then you’re obviously one of the many who has savored the “delights” of Crimson Room, an online Flash game by Toshimitsu Takagi from 2004.

It wasn’t exactly gripping but it had a certain something that made it a cult classic and spawned several follow-ups. Now, the latest incarnation of Crimson Room is a mobile version being pimped by Vodafone/Softbank Japan and it shall be yours to download for ¥315 from August 1.
