Fast 2ms 17in monitor on the cheap from iiyama

They may not set the world on fire, but iiyama continues to produce good displays at nice prices, as with the 17in ProLite E431S-6 that’s coming out in the middle of August.

The screen’s maximum response time is just 2ms and, apart from its zippiness, the model is quite bright at 300 candelas per square meter, has a good contrast ratio at 700:1 and should be quite crisp with a 1,280 x 1,024 SXGA resolution. Lastly, the monitor is 368.5 x 188.5 x 379mm, weighs 4.1g and costs ¥27,800.

Yoshi’s take: The price is good but I’m not sure I can go back to something as small as 17in. Bigger is better when it comes to screen real estate.
