Fujitsu wireless VoIP goodness

Fujitsu_Voip.jpg

According to the good folk at i-mode Business Strategy, The WiPCom 1000 from Fujitsu spin off Net2-Com is a dual-mode handset capable of doing the VoIP thing either over 802.11b or through a 2G CompactFlash datacard on Japan’s Air H PHS mobile network.

The 110g unit runs Windows CE.NET 4.2 on top of an Intel PXA272 CPU designed for embedded systems and is pretty much a smart phone in all but name, with PIM software, the Esprit web browser, a full email client, and a nice a 2.2in QVGA screen.
