See that ugly piece of gray plastic in the photo above? Well, that could just be your key to total computing happiness, according to Digital Cowboy.
The CW-1B USB Powered Drink Cooler and Warmer (nice one, guys) is the latest of many gizmos designed to appease those too stupid/lazy to actually make hot kettle-based drinks themselves or to open the fridge, but seems to be the first to target a specific kind of beverage.
Digital Cowboy’s brainiacs have thoughtfully molded their ¥3,980 ($40) barfy plastic to fit only those tiny little Japanese aluminum bottles that hold about 0.001ml of some sort of dastardly coffee or genki (health) drink.
Still, at least they assure would-be purchasers that running the thing off a USB port for an entire month (based on eight hours a day of constant heating or cooling) costs just ¥21 (21c). Now, that’s surely a reason to avoid the kitchen.
