Kingston K-PEX goes on sale, Kevin Spacey not involved

Kingston in Taiwan just dropped us a line to say the personal media player it had on show at Computex this year is now on sale.

The 1GB K-PEX is set to sell for US$130, while the 2GB model will be $50 more. Even better, if you are one of the first 4,000 happy shoppers, you’ll get a free 256MB miniSD card to shove in the thing.

As for specs, you’re looking at USB host capability, 2in LCD, a surprisingly light 62g, FM radio and support for MP3, WMA, OGG, WAV, MPEG 1/2, AVI, WMV, ASF, JPEG and TXT.

Yoshi’s take: With a decent battery in place, its lightness could make it rather apealing.
