
Hitachi recently unveiled a wireless environmental monitoring system with a base unit that can measure temperature, humidity and room vibrations (i.e. earthquakes), and a wristband that keeps its eye on the wearer’s heart rate. The AirSense is intended to provide real-time data to such industries as health care, disaster management and building safety, but if you want to pick one up and feel the vibes, it will cost you an arm and a leg at ¥945,000.
