NetWalker tiny Ubuntu netbook on sale for a buck
December 1st, 2009

When Sharp’s tiny Ubuntu-powered NetWalker hit the streets here in Japan a few weeks ago it was generally priced at the full whack of around ¥40,000 - an eye-watering $462 these days.

Now, however, the PC-Z1 has jumped on the E-Mobile bandwagon and can be had for the bargain price of just ¥100 with a two-year subscription to the mobile wireless service.

The low, low price doesn’t change the fact that I still have no idea why anyone would want a NetWalker other than out of sheer curiosity, but hey – what do I know anyway?
