Next time you’re done surfing at a remote beach (or trapped in a collapsing building after an earthquake) you’ll probably wish you had one of these to wash the sand (or brick dust) off - a portable, battery-powered shower.
The ¥3,780 ($33) shower comes from Coleman Japan and is capable of pumping out 20 liters of water using the power of four AA batteries alone. We say ‘pumping,’ but the rugged reviewer at Japanese site Kaden Watch seemed pretty disappointed with the water pressure.
Still, the 1-foot cubed package is pretty compact and - providing you can fill the collapsible water container in advance, of course - it’s better than driving home with sand in your pants, right?
