Retro radio-cassette player redux: now from Sony
July 12th, 2006

Not to be outdone by Sanyo, Sony has come out with its own cassette-cum-CD-cum-karaoke player with big, goof-proof buttons.

Say hello (and possibly wave goodbye) to the CFD-SO1 series, which comes in white, pink and silver. The bleatboxes have big screens for the shortsighted, and a radio for good measure. They cost ¥8,000, measure 360 x 235 x 141mm, weigh 2.6kg and go on sale August 10.
