Sanyo’s latest retro stereo system offers a fair few options for a relatively light ¥25,000 price tag, as well as some decent styling and a sickly-sweet logo.
The MAJ-U4CT1 is a portable unit featuring CD, tape, SD slot and a USB port. MP3 encoding to SD card or an MP3 player via USB from any of the inputs is a one-touch affair, the output is 4W and it weighs 2.7kg. Oh, and the dog logo comes from the one-touch recording feature “one” sounds like “wan” in Japanese, which is roughly equivalent to the kiddy term “doggy.” Take me now please.

Yoshi’s take: Again, just 4W but a robust offering, particularly given the absence of DRM.
