And you thought sushi was only for eating and USB? Ha! A company called Ishino Seisakusyo has just thrown up the latest RFID-based system for sushi bars, one that should make life a lot easier for harried chefs.

The set-up allows staff to scan enormous quantities of cut fish with a flick of the wrist — up to 10 RFID-chipped dishes in 1.8 seconds and 30 in 4.4 seconds. The system handles 999 dishes at a time, which is perfect for kaiten sushi joints.
