Samsung has strengthened its DSC lineup with two new versions of its Digimax brand, the L60 and L85, as well as the 6-megapixel GX-1L, which is the (rapid!) successor to the company’s first-ever digital SLR, announced all of five weeks ago.

The point-and-shoot 6-megapixel L60 offers MPEG-4 video, SHD optics, VGA video at 30fps, a 3x optical zoom and a 2.4in color display. It will cost $299.99 when it hits shops in April. The 8-megapixel L85 is, according to Samsung, the world’s first DSC with High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI). It also shoots at 30fps and comes with a 5x optical zoom and 2.5in LCD display. It costs $499.99 and will be available in April.
The GX-1L ships with a Schneider D-XENON lens, accepts Pentax replacement lenses and offers a “host of automatic functions…including a newly designed operation system.” Its body measures 4.9 x 3.6 x 2.6in and weighs a pound. The GX-1L is supposed to be a budget model, but no word on the pricing yet.
