Speaking of Samsung, as we were, we had to share this wacky loved-up photo the company’s press office just fired over from an event in Korea this morning.

The press release boldly declared “S-LCD and Korea’s Chungcheongnam-do agreed to foster World’s Largest LCD Clusters in Tangjeong,” which — approximately — means that S-LCD, the joint venture between Sony and Samsung, has agreed to pump money into an LCD plant in Chungcheongnam-do, one of the eight provinces in Korea.

And pump they shall — US$1.9 billion will go into setting up an eighth-generation production line and creating 1,000 new jobs.
