Samsung superfast screens

Samsung has just unveiled a pair of monitors with a very speedy 2ms response time. For black and white, the speed is still a respectably zippy 8ms.

These SXGA (1,280 x 1,024 dot) screens have a contrast of 700:1 and are bright to the tune of 300 candelas per square meter. The 3.4kg, 17in SyncMaster 740BF-R costs ¥39,800, while the 4.8kg, 19in SyncMaster 940BF-R goes for ¥54,800.
