Sanyo’s pricy 1-seg tuner for DVD players

How much will it cost to add 1-seg viewing to your portable Sanyo DVD player? Quite a lot, it seems, if you buy the company’s DVF-DTV100 tuner, which will be on sale August 21.

For the very steep price of ¥35,700, you do, however, get to see snowy, fuzzy analog pictures as well. The 75 x 135 x 45mm, 0.3kg tuner fits Sanyo’s DVD-HP71T, -HP70T, -HP90T, -HP170 and -HP62 models.
