Sleek mp3 walker series DAPs from Novac

Novac just got a bit careless and let on about the tricks it’s using to sell its mp3 walker series DAP. According to a press release, both the design and the price were important factors behind the new models. Don’t tell Sony, they might catch on.

Just kidding — after years adrift in ATRAC no-man’s-land, the big S seems to have gotten some of its smarts back. Which brings us to Novac’s MP-EB101/102 and 105 MP3/WMA players, which have 128MB, 256MB and 512MB capacities and cost ¥3,980, ¥4,980 and ¥6,280, respectively.

For that, you get these 94 x 30 x 20mm, 30g players, which have changeable covers and displays that can tell you are playing “The Evil Powers of Rock ‘n’ Roll” by The Supersuckers in 24 languages. Hey, we thought the language of rock needed no translation…
