Solid Alliance swaps sushi for ducks
July 28th, 2006

We haven’t heard from Solid Alliance for some time — which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. But now the good folks who popularized sushi USB memory clips have moved on to flip-top ducks.

The idea behind the Kururi (“twist”) is that the cap flicks away to reveal the pleasing i-Duck design — and you don’t lose the cap. Prices begin at ¥2,780 for the KRR-B-256 (256MB model) and paddle onwards and upwards to ¥5,480 for the KRR-W-1G. You guessed that was the 1GB version, right?

Yoshi’s take: It’s always sad to see a company pathetically attempting to recapture past glory. Especially when that glory involves plastic sushi USB memory.
