Spookily attractive Nokia N85 goes trick-or-treatin’ today

October 31 isn’t just the one day a year when the dead walk the Earth – it’s also the launch date for Nokia’s newest uber handset, the sparkly new N85.

Sure, it isn’t our usual Asian handset fare, but the fact that it comes with the supremely usable Symbian 9.3 OS instead of the usual junk us Japanese users have to put up with makes it an object of desire in my book.

Aside from a 2.6in OLED screen, a 5-megapixel camera, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, FM tuner and transmitter, Bluetooth, support for 8GB microSD cards, USB charging, TV out, a standard 3.5mm headphone jack and N-Gage, there’s not really much going on with this quad-bander grin

Nokia’s usual two-way slider keyboard is present and correct, with QWERTY on one side and media keys on t’other, although a touchscreen would’ve been nice. Still, we can’t have everything.
