Thanko USB microscope

Thanko, in overdrive as ever, has just announced its Dino-Lite digital “microscope.” Just plug the thing into your PC via USB and get 20x/200x magnification on your hair follicles, fingernail dirt, or whatever else pleases you, all in glorious color on your PC screen. The Dino-Lite comes with software that allows you to save images, attach them to emails, go to next/previous, enlarge and shrink, etc.

It’s all courtesy of a 1/4in CMOS sensor (backed with an LED for illumination) that provides a VGA-resolution image and 30fps, although you can only use the 90g Dino-Lite up to a range of 10cm. But that’s still perfect for examining your navel. Yours for ¥12,800.
