Up with the cock: almost half of Japanese use cellphone alarms

It seems odd to me that 43% of Japanese respondents to a recent survey about their morning rising habits do so to the sound of a mobile phone’s alarm. Apparently, the keitai is by far the most common means of morning stimulation.

Dunno about you but I spend enough time with that brain-fryer glued to my ear and really want my phone as far away from me as possible when I’m in bed.
