Vodafone: helping nerds find love

“Love Teigaku” is the catchy tagline of Vodafone’s current advertising campaign and I happened to see this weird poster in Akihabara Station urging me to find someone to love by Nov. 1, which is tomorrow.

Somewhat concerned at the unnecessary time pressure, I walked into a Vodafone corner in Daiei in Yokohama, to find out what it was all about. A beautiful young assistant explained that it’s all about getting unlimited calls and emails with that special someone for ¥300 per month. You even get to have a 50% discount on videocalls, so don’t be shy.
