Water bottle humidifiers gush steam in a rainbow of colors
October 24th, 2007

Humidifiers are essential in Japan’s dry winter, so quirky-looking little devices like CCP’s KZ-500AS, which vaporizes the contents of a regular plastic water bottle, are most welcome.

For ¥3,000 ($26) you get a choice of pink, blue, orange or green and the ability to slide in a pad of aroma oil too if you like your steam scented.

The 500AS - dontcha think it could do with a cutesy name, eh CCP? - can handle normal store-bought bottles of up to 500ml, from which you’ll get four hours of vapor-filled pleasure.
