You may have missed it but in May the SD Card Association (they’re really fun guys) announced required minimum data transfer rates for SD cards to be given the new Class 2, 4 or 6 labels. Straightforwardly, Class 2 cards need to be able to push binary at 2MB per second, Class 4 at 4MB and Class 6 at 6MB. Accordingly, Toshiba has just launched the first ever Class 6 super cards, as well as a range of Class 4 cards.

That way, a few months or years down the line I can easily find out where I took the pictures.
