Blu-ray Disc players and movies expected on sale later this year in Japan and the U.S. will share the same region code, Sony said Thursday.

As someone who takes a lot of pictures I’ve often thought it would be nice to have location data embedded in the images. That way, a few months or years down the line I can easily find out where I took the pictures. All too often I end up looking at pictures from news conferences or vacations from the past and trying to remember exactly where they were taken.

Via Technologies is going ‘pret-a-porter’ with Vogue, its latest reference design for PC makers, announced Wednesday at the Computex exhibition in Taipei.
